Kutty Padmini
Kutty Padmini is a South Indian movie actress who predominantly works in Kollywood. She was a child star in her debut movie ''Ambala Anjulam'' (1959). She has also acted in Telugu and Malayalam movies.Kutty Padmini first entered the film industry when she was three months baby introduced by the veteran actor Gemini Ganesan and the actress Savithri.
The first recognition as a child artist was in the movie Paasa Malar. She received her first award as the best child actress for the film "Nenjil Oru Alayam" . This was the first movie shot in 24 days in a single set with all new artists which was later remade in Hindi and Telugu languages, all having a Golden Jubilee hit.
At a tender age of eight, she was casted in a dual role for the film "Kuzhanthaiyum Deivamum" gaining her the prestigious National Award presented to her by the then Prime Minister of India Mrs.Indira Gandhi. Mrs.Indira Gandhi presented her with the National Award and also complimented her talent in the presence of the late actor Mr.Raj Kapoor after previewing the movie with Mrs.Nandini Saithpath, the Chief Minister of Calcutta.〔(Kutty Padmini profile at jointscene.com )〕
